‘Best of British’ Our first edit which we are launching for Tallboy Home is “Best of British” to celebrate all the truly amazing British craftspeople who we work with to create our beautiful homewares and bespoke furniture.
The products which we have designed and produced have been made using traditional craftsmanship to create products that are sustainable and excellent quality. Sourcing products for our British Made theme was a real joy as local quality is an incredibly important part of our business as it is essential that we can support other likeminded individuals, keep down our eco footprint and for our clients it is important that we know where each individual item has been created, as bulk mass made products although price point can be more desirable for clients the ethics and quality behind their creation is not something which we at Tallboy Home stand by.
It is an absolute privilege to be able to visit the workshops and see our homewares be created right in front of us and see the passion in the individuals creating them. With both Matt and Geena meeting the producers it allows us to have a say in the designs that we want to produce to sell to our clients and learn about how each product is made and the detail that goes into them.
We recently visited the workshop of our wood cutter who sources his timber from Castle Howard (known more recently from Netflix show Bridgeton) which is a country estate only 5 minutes down the road from us. To be able to see the timber in raw form for them then to be turned into such amazing serving and chopping boards is amazing and the fact it is so local is a real plus for us and why Matt and Geena love the business.
The Best of British edit is in our mind the ideal launch selection for our new business as it sums up all that we believe in and love. Autumn is also one Geena’s favourite times of the year, there is still a hint of warmth in the air, but the nights are starting to get darker earlier and the need for cosy jumpers has arrived.
We have taken time to decide which products would be the best to launch at this time of year and what better to start with than mugs to enjoy a good warm drink in, candles for ambient lighting on the darker nights and luxurious bath products to submerge yourself within on the cooler evenings.
